Sandy McDonald Hockey League

The Sandy MacDonald Hockey League is a low cost, low commitment hockey alternative for boys and girls of all levels. The Sandy MacDonald Hockey Program focuses on teaching basic hockey skills and sportsmanship in a no check, low pressure environment that fosters a love of hockey. Teams will be formatted after the evaluation dates listed. Players must attend evaluations.

Each division plays seven games + championships along with eight 1hr practices.


8 – Week Fee for levels 10U, 12U, and 14U – $600

10U Squirt – Ages 9 & 10 (birth year 2010, 2011)
Weekday Practice, Weekend Games
Evaluations: March 23 & March 30th, 6:00pm-7:00pm

12U Pee-Wees – Ages 11 & 12 (birth year 2008, 2009)
Weekday Practice, Weekend Games
Evaluations: March 23 & March 30th 6:00pm-7:00pm

14U Bantam – Ages 13 & 14 (birth year 2006, 2007)
Weekday Practice, Weekend Games
Evaluations: March 23 & March 30th 7:15pm-8:15pm

Championship Game: Saturday, May 30th

$600 + USA Hockey Number for 8-week Season

All players MUST be registered with USA Hockey and submit a copy of their confirmation number before going onto the ice.

  • Skate at your own risk!
  • Patrons must wear skates when on ice
  • In the event of an injury, notify a skate guard or rink personnel immediately
  • Skate counter clockwise unless directed otherwise
  • No figure skating
  • No more than 2 people may skate together
  • Skating in a manner that endangers or interferes with other skaters’ safety is prohibited
  • Tag and other games are prohibited
  • Roughness, excessive speeding or weaving through skaters is prohibited
  • Skaters are not to carry children or items such as cameras, handbags, etc While skating
  • For skaters protection, no headphones allowed
  • Hockey sticks and pucks are not allowed during public skate
  • Throwing snowballs or any object is prohibited
  • No eating or drinking on the ice surface
  • Patrons must not sit on, lean over, or leave articles on the glass or dasher boards
  • Report any rule violation to a skate guard or rink personnel
  • Please leave ice promptly when horn sounds for ice resurfacing at the end of each session
  • Helmets to be worn at all times
